Crash on Hwy 9 near Bower Rd in Eufala kills 1, injures 1

EUFALA, OK – One person died, and another sustained injuries Saturday in a major crash along Highway 9 in south-central McIntosh County, reports News on 6.
The accident happened shortly after 2 a.m. near the intersection with Bower Road in Eufala. This is about 83 miles southeast of Tulsa.
Police haven’t yet disclosed the circumstances of the wreck. They say that an unrestrained driver, who they’ve since identified as Holly Jordan of McAlester, died at the scene.
Medics airlifted a passenger from the same vehicle to an area hospital with serious injuries. The passenger was also not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
Officials have not referenced any other vehicles in connection to the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
