Crash on I-40 WB at MM 238 blocks traffic in Henryetta

HENRYETTA, OK – Officials closed all but one lane of the interstate in Henryetta on Monday afternoon after a collision, reports the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

I-40 westbound is narrowed to one lane west of US-75/US-62 in Henryetta at mile marker 238 due to crash. Drivers can use US-75B through Henryetta as an alternate route. Notice will be sent when lanes reopen.— Oklahoma Department of Transportation (@OKDOT) June 26, 2023
The incident happened before 4:45 p.m. on the westbound side of I-40 near mile marker 238, which is northwest of Henryetta Nichols Park.
The cause of the collision is unknown at this time, and there’s no word yet on injuries. Officials encouraged drivers to expect delays and to seek an alternate route while crews worked to clear the scene. All lanes of I-40 re-opened by around 6:10 p.m.
