TULSA COUNTY, OK — A 29-year-old Sapulpa woman died Thursday night after her vehicle ran off Creek Turnpike and hit a residence in Jenks, according to KFOR.

The fatal accident occurred on the westbound side of the road, west of U.S. Highway 75. Emergency crews responded to the scene at around 8:30 p.m.

An early investigation shows the woman was driving westbound on the turnpike, when, for reasons still unknown, the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway. It then slammed through a fence and proceeded into a backyard before striking the home. Shortly after, the vehicle caught fire.

The female driver was pronounced deceased at the scene, confirmed officials.

An investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
