SEMINOLE COUNTY, OK — A 29-year-old driver was injured Friday morning when their car struck a school bus on State Highway 3 near Seminole, according to News9.

A preliminary investigation indicates the car was traveling southbound on the highway when, for reasons still unknown, the vehicle veered to the left of the centerline and into the opposing lane. It then collided with a northbound school bus.

The driver of the car was rushed by Air Evac to Oklahoma City’s OU Medical Center. No details have been shared regarding the extent of their injuries, but the patient was listed in stable condition during transport.

Officials said the bus was carrying 18 juvenile passengers at the time of the wreck, but no injuries to the children or the 35-year-old driver were reported.
