Drunk driver strikes, injures Tulsa man on Hwy 169 in Talala

TALALA, OK – A man had his leg amputated last weekend after he was struck and seriously injured along a highway in northwest Rogers County, reports KOCO News 5.
The incident happened around 1 a.m. Sunday along Highway 169, which runs from north to south in Talala.
The investigation indicates that a drunk driver struck the victim and dragged him along the road. The victim had been aiding police with a situation involving a stalled car and downed power lines.
Medics transported the victim, identified as Kevin Humphrey, to a local hospital, where he is now recovering after surgery.
