Emergency crews respond to crash involving 2 semis on I-44WB near Douglas

OKLAHOMA CO., OK – One person went to the hospital Tuesday after an accident involving two jackknifed semis along the interstate in northeast Oklahoma County.
According to KOCO News 5, the incident happened early in the morning on the westbound side of the Turner Turnpike, or I-44, near North Douglas Boulevard. This is east of I-35 and south of Arcadia Lake.
The circumstances of the accident are still under review. Police suspect that icy roads were a primary factor in the collision.
An ambulance reported to the scene to transport one person with unspecified injuries.
Officials warned of lengthy delays along the westbound side of the Turner Turnpike while crews worked to move the 18-wheelers and clear the scene.
