Fatality reported in motorcycle crash on S Shields near I-240

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Emergency teams responded to a fatality crash along a major roadway in south-central Oklahoma City on Thursday morning.

According to KFOR News 4, the incident occurred late in the morning along the southbound side of South Shields Boulevard at I-240. This is just west of I-35 and southeast of Webster Middle School.

Police say that one of the vehicles involved in the accident was a motorcycle and that one person died from injuries sustained in the collision. Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.

Drivers likely experienced lengthy delays in the area of the collision while medics attended to the victims, and crews worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
