Fiery 2-vehicle crash at NE 36th and Lincoln kills 1, injures 1

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person died, and another went to the hospital Wednesday with serious injuries after two vehicles collided in Oklahoma City, reports KFOR News.

The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Northeast 36th Street and North Lincoln Boulevard, which is just east of I-235.

Police say a sedan struck a light pole after first colliding with an SUV. The SUV ignited and overturned.

The force of the collision threw the driver of the sedan from their vehicle, and they died at the scene of the accident.

Medics transported the driver of the SUV to the hospital with serious injuries.

A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
