Flat tire causes fatal motorcycle crash on US-169 in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – A 60-year-old man died Saturday in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident along the highway on the east side of Tulsa, reports KTUL News 8.

The crash happened at night on the northbound side of US-169. Authorities haven’t yet specified a cross street for the the accident.

Police say that a northbound 2009 Harley Davidson carrying two people crashed when the rear tire popped.

The motorcycle operator, identified as Harold Butler, died at the scene of the accident.

Medics transported the passenger, identified as 55-year-old Kimberley Coppedge, to an area hospital with serious injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
