Four-vehicle collision on I-40 EB at Morgan Rd kills 3, injures 4

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Three people died Friday from injuries sustained in a four-vehicle crash along the interstate in west-central Oklahoma City, reports KOCO News 5.
The accident happened just before 5:15 p.m. on the eastbound side of I-40 at Morgan Road, which is just south of Lake Overholser and northwest of Swisher Park.
There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the accident. Police say that at least one of the four vehicles caught fire, and authorities declared two people deceased at the scene. Authorities identified them as Kylee Byfield, 27, and Hector Munoz, 51.
Medics transported another patient to an area hospital, where they soon died from their injuries. Authorities have not yet released their name to the public.
Several others sustained non-critical injuries in the crash and did not require hospitalization.
A full investigation is underway.
