Injuries reported in multi-vehicle crash on I-44 near NW 36th

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Injuries have been reported in connection to a collision involving at least five vehicles along the interstate in northwest Oklahoma City, reports KOCO News 5.
The accident happened Wednesday morning on I-44 near Northwest 36th Street, which is just north of Will Rogers Gardens in the Grand Portland area.
Police haven’t yet disclosed the cause or circumstances of the accident. Additionally, while we know that at least two people were hurt, it’s unclear if they required hospitalization for their injuries. At least two ambulances responded to the scene.
Among the vehicles involved in the crash, an 18-wheeler sustained damage to its front end, and another vehicle sustained damaged to both ends.
Drivers encountered significant delays caused by lane closures along I-44 while crews worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
