Injury collision reported at I-35 and I-40 near the Oklahoma River

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person went to the hospital following a single-vehicle accident near the Boathouse District in Oklahoma City Friday morning, reports News 9.
The incident occurred where I-35 and I-40 meet in southeast Oklahoma City, also known as the Fort Smith junction. This is west of the OKANA Resort and Water Park, near the Oklahoma River.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a vehicle crashed along the overpass. A person exited the vehicle and fell from the overpass to the ground below.
Medics transported the patient to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
There were no other vehicles involved in the crash and no other passengers in the vehicle.
A full investigation is underway.
