Jackknifed 18-wheeler spills fuel near I-44 EB and Classen

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Hazmat teams cleared the scene of a jackknifed 18-wheeler along the interstate in north Oklahoma City on Tuesday, reports OK Highway Patrol/DPS.
Yet another wet and rainy commute. This semi jackknifed on I-44 eastbound at Classen. Fuel and oil were spilled on the roadway. Hazmat is working to clean it up now. Please be careful out there this morning and take it slow. pic.twitter.com/wfWTwPbClQ

The incident happened around 8:38 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-44 near North Classen Boulevard, which is just east of Penn Square Mall.
It’s still unclear how the accident happened, but police say that wet roads may have been a contributing factor. The force of the collision caused fuel and oil to spill, which resulted in delays along the interstate.
No injuries have been reported thus far.
