Man arrested, child killed after DUI crash near US-270 and 250th Ave

LE FLORE CO., OK – An intoxicated driver struck and killed a 4-year-old child on Sunday afternoon in central Le Flore County, reports 4029 News.
The incident happened around 2 p.m. in the area of US-270 and 250th Avenue, which is south of Wister and east of Wister Lake.
Police say that an 18-year-old driver had been drinking before he lost control of his vehicle, left the highway, and crashed into the porch of a home on 250th Avenue. A child was playing on the porch and died from injuries sustained when the car hit him.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Miguel Reyes, failed sobriety tests at the scene. Police arrested Reyes on charges of first degree manslaughter with a vehicle and driving under the influence.
