Man struck, injured along Riverside Drive in S Tulsa

TULSA, OK – A man sustained injuries Friday when a vehicle struck him along a busy roadway on the south side of Tulsa, reports Fox 23 News.

The accident happened along Riverside drive, which runs north to south from Cyrus-Avery Centennial Plaza to East 71st Street. Authorities have not provided a cross street for the wreck.

Police say the victim was crossing Riverside in the dark when a car hit him. It’s unclear if he was crossing in a designated crosswalk.

Medics transported the unidentified pedestrian to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver involved in the accident stopped to render aid and speak with authorities.

A full investigation is underway.
