AFTON, OK – A 38-year-old man sustained serious injuries Wednesday in a two-vehicle motorcycle accident along a highway in southwest Ottawa County, reports KSN 16.
The incident happened around 6:25 p.m. at the intersection of US-59 and East 220 Road on the northeast outskirts of Afton.
Police say that the victim’s northbound motorcycle crashed into the back of a 2011 Dodge Ram as the latter vehicle slowed to make a left turn at East 220 Road.
Medics airlifted the motorcyclist, identified as Kyle Miller, to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Dodge went to hospital with minor injuries and has since returned home.
