Motorcyclist killed in solo crash on US-271 in Choctaw Co.

CHOCKTAW CO., OK – A motorcyclist died Sunday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident along the highway in south-central Choctaw County, reports KXII.
The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on US-271 near Grant, which is just east of the state line between Texas and Mexico.
Police say the northbound motorcycle overturned after veering onto the southbound side of the highway and hitting a guardrail.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and died at the scene of the crash. Authorities have not yet named the victim, but they say he was from Van Alstyne.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
