Motorcyclist loses life in crash involving SUV in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – A motorcyclist lost his life in a crash involving an SUV on Monday, News on 6 said.
The crash took place at 31st Street and Riverside Drive. Police believe the driver of the Nissan Pathfinder SUV was trying to turn east onto 31st Street from southbound Riverside Drive when they collided with a northbound motorcycle.
Police believe the motorcyclist, identified as 20-year-old Caleb Lopez, was traveling at a high rate of speed, along with other motorcyclists, prior to the crash.
Lopez wore a helmet, but unfortunately died from his injuries at the scene.
The female SUV driver was treated at the scene for unspecified non-serious injuries.
Police questioned the SUV driver, whom they released a short time later.
A full investigation is underway.
