Multi-vehicle crash on I-44 EB near MM 270 blocks traffic

ADAIR, OK – A major collision involving multiple vehicles blocked the eastbound lanes of the interstate in Adair on Thursday morning, reports Fox 23 News.

The incident happened sometime before 8:16 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-44 near mile marker 270, which is west of West Adair Cemetery.

Police have not yet released information about the cause of the crash. They say it involved a semi-truck and other cars and that one of the involved vehicles caught fire.

Officials closed the eastbound side of  I-44 and one lane on the westbound side while crews worked to clear the scene.

There’s no word yet on injuries.
