Multi-vehicle crash on US-283 at E0150 near Rosston kills child

HARPER CO., OK – A young boy died on Tuesday in a collision involving three vehicles along a highway near both Rosston and Laverne.

According to KOCO 5, the incident happened around 4:20 p.m. on US-283 near E0150 Road, which is just west of Rose Hill Cemetery.

The investigation indicates that a northbound 2019 Toyota struck a a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee on US-283. The force of the collision caused the Jeep to overturn, at which point an 18-wheeler struck it.

A nine-year-old passenger in the Toyota died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Medics also transported a seven-year-old boy to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
