YUKON, ON – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol released the identity of the man involved in a fatal wrong-way crash that killed four young adults in Yukon on Friday, May 22.

This is an update in connection with the story we first reported on Friday. OHP told OKCFOX that it was 26-year-old Michael Rosario-Cruz who was the wrong-way driver.

On Friday, May 22, Rosario-Cruz was driving east on westbound Interstate 40 when he crashed head-on into an eastbound vehicle driven by a 20-year-old woman named Kiercey Hickson.

One of the vehicles caught on fire, and Hickson and her three passengers, all El Reno Public Schools alums, died from their injuries. The passengers have been identified as 19-year-old Quincy Jones, 18-year-old Haleigh Salazar, and Brad Palmer, who was 18 or 19.

OHP arrested Rosario-Cruz, and ambulance crews transported him to a hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.

Rosario-Cruz is being charged with four counts of second-degree murder, two counts of DUI causing great bodily injury, possessing a firearm with an altered ID during the commission of a felony, carrying firearms while under the influence, and driving the wrong way on a one-way road.
