OHP investigates Wynnewood-area crash that killed 2 teens

GARVIN CO., OK – A teen boy and a teen girl died Friday morning from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle collision in east-central Garvin County, reports KXII 12.
The crash happened east of Wynnewood at the intersection of OK-29 and US-177. This is about 75 miles southeast of Oklahoma City.
Police haven’t yet determined the cause of the accident. They say that a 2024 Nissan Altima carrying four teens and a 2021 Nissan Titan collided at the intersection.
The adult driver of the Titan did not sustain injuries in the crash.
Medics airlifted the 17-year-old female driver of the Altima to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two passengers from the Altima succumbed to their injuries after transport to a Sulphur hospital. Authorities have not released the names of the 14- and 15-year-old victims.
The third passenger went to an Oklahoma City hospital via air ambulance with critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
