Pedestrian hit, killed by vehicle near Oklahoma City’s Tinker Air Force Base

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — One person died Tuesday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Southeast 44th Street in southeast Oklahoma City, according to KFOR.
The incident took place at the intersection with South Douglas Boulevard, near Tinker Air Force Base, at about 5:30 a.m.
Oklahoma City Police have not disclosed the circumstances of the event, but officers arrived to find the victim deceased at the scene.
No information on the driver has been shared at this time, but an investigation was underway.
Motorists were instructed to find alternate routes around the area.
