Police arrest driver connected to pedestrian crash at SW 59th and May

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Police have arrested the driver responsible for hitting and killing a pedestrian last Friday afternoon at a busy intersection just east of the airport.

According to KOCO News 5, police have arrested a 41-year-old man with two prior DUI convictions on charges of driving under the influence and second-degree murder.

The accident occurred just before 3 p.m. in the area of Southwest 59th Street and South May Avenue, which is just northwest of the Hidden Trails Golf and Country Club.

The investigation indicates that a westbound truck struck 20-year-old Joshua Moore as he crossed Southwest 59th. Moore died after transport to a local hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
