Rear-end crash on Hwy 412 in SE Pawnee Co. kills 1, injures 1

PAWNEE CO., OK – One person died Monday, and another sustained injuries in a two-vehicle accident along the highway in southeast Pawnee County.

According to News 9, the crash occurred in the evening along Highway 412 near Westport. This is around 23 miles northwest of Tulsa.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a truck rear-ended a car along the highway.

Medics transported both drivers to the hospital, where the driver of the car died from injuries sustained in the accident. Authorities identified the victim as 30-year-old Aliyah Howard.

The truck driver’s injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.

A full investigation is underway.
