Semi crash on US-177 near of Tecumseh kills woman, injures child

POTTAWATOMIE CO., OK – A two-vehicle collision injured a child and claimed a woman’s life this week in central Pottawatomie County.

According to News 9, the accident happened Friday along US-177 south of Tecumseh, which is about 42 miles southeast of Oklahoma City.

There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the crash. Police say it involved a car and an 18-wheeler.

Medics airlifted a child passenger to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Officials say the child is in stable condition.

A woman involved in the crash sustained fatal injuries. Authorities have not yet released her identity to the public.
