Semi-truck rollover seriously injures 1 on I-44 near Miami

OTTAWA CO., OK – A 23-year-old Canadian man went to the hospital with serious injuries after a semi-truck crash on the interstate near Miami, reports Fox 23 News.
The incident happened around 6:50 a.m. on the westbound side of the Will Rogers Turnpike near mile marker 311, which is east of Dotyville and south of Miami.
The investigation thus far indicates that a 2022 Volvo semi-truck left the roadway, struck a concrete barrier, and overturned after the 22-year-old driver fell asleep.
A 23-year-old male passenger in the semi went to the hospital with serious injuries. Officials identified him as Gursharan Singh from Canada.
The driver of the 18-wheeler, identified as Milamveer Randhawa, was not injured in the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
