Semi vs. car crash on I-44 near Kellyville kills 2, injures 2

CREEK CO., OK – Two people died, and two were hospitalized Tuesday after an 18-wheeler collided with a car on the interstate near Kellyville.

According to Fox 23 News, the incident happened around 3:30 a.m. on the Turner Turnpike, or I-44, just past Sapulpa.

The preliminary investigation indicates that an 18-wheeler rear-ended a passenger vehicle, killing two occupants from the vehicle. Authorities have not yet released the names of the victims.

Medics transported another passenger from the car to the hospital with critical injuries.

The truck driver also went to the hospital. The extent of the driver’s injuries is unclear at this time.

Police are still investigating what might have caused the truck driver to crash into the car.
