Series of injury crashes reported on I-40, I-44 in west Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Injuries were reported Thursday morning after three major wrecks on Interstates 40 and 44 at the Amarillo Junction in west Oklahoma City, reports KOCO.
One multi-vehicle crash occurred on eastbound I-40 before the junction, and the two others took place on both sides of I-44 at the south junction.
Details are limited, but all three incidents were listed as injury crashes. Between the three separate accidents, more than 10 vehicles were found to have been involved.
The collisions created heavy traffic backups and delays for morning commuters, but the scenes have since been cleared.
