Serious injuries reported in rear-end crash at Walker and 66th

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person was hurt Monday in a two-vehicle crash at a busy intersection in south-central Oklahoma City, reports News 9.

The incident occurred at night at South Walker Avenue and Southwest 66th Street, which is just northwest of Southern Oaks Recreation Center.

Police say that one vehicle rear-ended another at the intersection.

Medics transported the driver of the vehicle that was struck to the hospital with serious injuries.

Neither the driver that caused the crash nor their passenger required hospitalization.

Officials closed the intersection while emergency crews assisted the injured party and worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
