Solo crash on E 1100 Rd near N 1930 Rd in Elk City injures 2

ELK CITY, OK – An 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old woman sustained serious injuries in a solo crash in northeast Beckham County on Friday night.

According to KOCO News 5, the incident happened around 10 p.m. on the western outskirts of Elk City on East 1100 Road near North 1930 Road.

Police say that for unknown reasons, the 18-year-old driver of a 2012 Buick Lacrosse lost control of her vehicle and left the roadway. The Buick then hit a utility pole before falling off of an embankment along the roadway.

Both the driver and the passenger went to an Oklahoma City hospital with critical injuries.

A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
