Solo crash on E Hubbard Rd near Ponca City kills 1, injures 1

KAY CO., OK – A 48-year-old man died, and a 15-year-old teen when to the hospital Thursday after a solo crash in southeastern Kay County, reports KOCO News 5.
The incident happened around 4:50 a.m. just east of Ponca City on East Hubbard Road. This is about 95 miles northeast of Tulsa.
Police say that the driver of a westbound pickup truck lost control of his vehicle while driving on an uneven surface. The pickup truck hit a tree after crashing into a ditch.
The unrestrained driver, identified as David Wayne Taylor, died after transport to a local hospital.
Medics transported his teen passenger to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
