Solo crash on Lone Oak Rd near Indianola kills 15-year-old

PITTSBURG CO., OK – A teenager died Tuesday morning from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash in north-central Pittsburg County, reports Fox 23 News.
The incident happened around 7:56 a.m. just west of Indianola on Lone Oak Road. This is about 120 miles east of Oklahoma City.
Police say the 15-year-old victim was driving a pickup truck eastbound when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle.
The pickup truck overturned after leaving the roadway. The force of the collision threw the driver from the vehicle, and he died at the scene.
Drivers likely experienced delays along Lone Oak Road while crews worked to clear the scene.
