Solo crash on US-412 near I-44 in Catoosa kills 30-year-old man

CATOOSA, OK – A 30-year-old man died late Thursday night after a single-vehicle pin-in crash along the highway in Catoosa, reports News 6. 

The accident occurred just before midnight on US-412 just before I-44, which is on the southeastern outskirts of the city.

Police say that the driver lost control of his pickup truck while negotiating a curve in the road. The pickup departed US-412, hit a sign, and rolled.

Emergency teams worked diligently to extricate the driver, but he died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.

Authorities identified the victim as Matthew Boyer.

Officials closed US-412 in the area of the accident while crews worked to free the victim and clear the wreckage from the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
