Toddler killed in 2-vehicle crash on I-35SB near OK-59

WAYNE, OK – A two-year-old girl died Thursday evening after a two-vehicle crash along the interstate in Wayne, reports KOCO News 5. 

The incident happened around 6:10 p.m. on the southbound side of I-35 near OK-59, which is just northwest of Finn Creek Site 36 Reservoir.

The investigation thus far indicates that a southbound SUV collided with another vehicle on the interstate.

Both a small child and an adult passenger went to the hospital. The child died after transport. The passenger sustained critical injuries.

Police say that four other children were involved in the crash but did not require hospitalization.

The investigation is ongoing.
