Train hits car 880 Rd and Hwy 81 in Okarche, hurting 2

OKARCHE, OK – Two people sustained injuries when a train struck a car at an intersection in north Okarche on Wednesday.

According to News 9, the incident happened in the evening at the intersection of 880 Road and Highway 81, which is just northeast of Okarche Car Wash and Laundry.

The circumstances of the accident aren’t yet clear, but police say two people were hospitalized following the collision with undisclosed injuries.

Per officials, the crash blocked the crossing at the intersection but did not derail the train.

A full investigation is underway.
