Two hurt when car collides with horse on US-70 near Fort Towson

CHOCTAW CO., OK – An adult driver and a teen passenger went to the hospital Sunday after their vehicle struck a horse on the highway in eastern Choctaw County.
According to OKC Fox 25, the incident happened around 1:50 a.m. on the westbound side US-70 between Fort Towson and Swink.
Police say the victims’ westbound Toyota Corolla left the roadway and crashed after colliding with the horse. The driver, identified as 32-year-old Cassie Tisho, became entrapped in the vehicle and required extrication.
Authorities have not yet commented on the severity of the victims’ injuries.
Two other passengers, a 36-year-old man and a 4-year-old child, did not require hospitalization.
The investigation is ongoing.
