Two killed in dirt bike vs. pedestrian crash on Main St in Chouteau

CHOUTEAU, OK – A dirt bike operator and a pedestrian died Thursday night when a police chase ended in a collision in southwest Mayes County, reports Fox 23 News.
The incident happened just before 7 p.m., east of Howey Street and along Main Street in downtown Chouteau.
The investigation indicates that 30-year-old Brent Maner struck a pedestrian while fleeing police on a Yamaha dirt bike.
Both Maner and the pedestrian, identified as 27-year-old John Farmer, died at the scene of the collision.
Police have not yet shared the reason for the pursuit.
The investigation is ongoing.
