Vehicle crashes into Red River off US-271 near Grant, killing 1

CHOCTAW CO., OK – A 67-year-old man died on Monday morning after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into the Red River near Grant.
The incident happened early in the morning on US-271 near the Oklahoma and Texas border.
The investigation thus far indicates that the driver crashed through two guardrails along the Red River Bridge and landed in the water.
The man died after being pinned in his vehicle in the river. Authorities identified the victim as Stephen Neece.
Police are still investigating to determine what may have caused Neece to lose control of his vehicle.
