Woman in wheelchair killed in hit-and-run accident in NW OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A woman in a wheelchair died Monday night after two vehicles struck her in northwest OKC before fleeing the scene, reports KOCO 5. 

The incident happened just before midnight on the southbound side of Portland Avenue just before Northwest 34th Street, which is on the northwest edge of Will Rogers Gardens.

The victim died after transport to a local hospital. Authorities have not yet released her identity to the public.

Police have not shared any details about the suspected drivers or vehicles. Anyone with information about the incident should contact the Oklahoma City Police Department.
