Woman killed in crash on Hwy 412 in Tulsa Co.

SAND SPRINGS, OK – A 38-year-old woman died Tuesday after colliding with an 18-wheeler along the highway in Sand Springs, reports News on 6.

The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Highway 412 near 177th West Avenue, which is just north of the Arkansas River and west of Shell Creek.

Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of an SUV crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer on the highway. Emergency crews used the jaws of life to extricate the driver of the SUV following the accident, and she died after transport to a local hospital. Officials identified the victim as Jeanine Proctor.

The driver of the semi-truck did not sustain injuries in the collision.

A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
