Woman killed in Stephens Co. solo crash on Duncan Rd

DUNCAN, OK – A 32-year-old woman died Wednesday afternoon after losing control of her vehicle on a major roadway in Duncan, reports OKC Fox 25.
The incident happened around 4 p.m. on Plato Road, which is between West Camelback Road and Elk Avenue.
The investigation thus far indicates that the woman’s Toyota Tacoma veered off of Plato Road and struck a mailbox. She then returned to the roadway and hit a tree after veering off of the opposite side of the road. Her vehicle overturned multiple times.
The victim, identified as Mary Jones, died at the scene after having been trapped in her vehicle for over an hour.
The investigation is ongoing.
