Woman killed when SUV hits deer on OK-31 in Quinton

QUINTON, OK – A 61-year-old woman died on Tuesday night after her vehicle struck a deer along the highway in east Pittsburg County, reports KXII 12.
The incident happened at 8:56 p.m. on OK-31 in Quinton, which is just north of Twin Mountains Off-Road Park.
The investigation indicates that an SUV left the roadway, crashed into an embankment, and overturned after hitting a deer.
The unrestrained driver, identified as Glenda Diann Gibson, died at the scene of the crash. Police say that the force of the collision threw Gibson from her vehicle.
