Woman struck, killed by motorcycle at Sunnylane and I-240

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A female pedestrian died on Thursday after a motorcycle struck her along a busy roadway in south Oklahoma City.

According to OKC Fox 25, the incident happened around 5:45 a.m. on the southbound side of Sunnylane over I-240, which is just west of Oklahoma Heart Hospital South.

The investigation indicates that a southbound motorcyclist struck the woman as she walked along Sunnylane.

A bystander alerted authorities, and the woman was taken to a local hospital where she died from injuries sustained in the accident. Authorities have not yet released her name to the public.

The motorcyclist sustained very minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.

A full investigation is underway.
