Wrong-way accident on US-177 near Mannsville kills 2

JOHNSTON CO., OK – A wrong-way collision along the highway in southwest Johnston County killed two men on Thursday morning, reports KTEN 10 News.
The accident happened shortly after 6:30 a.m. just east of Mannsville on US-177. This is about two hours southeast of Oklahoma City.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a Ford Focus entered the wrong-side of the highway and collided head-on with another vehicle.
The wrong-way driver, identified as 60-year-old Keith E. Chawgo of Texas, died at the scene of the wreck.
The other driver, identified as 64-year-old Robert N. Mackey of Coleman, died after transport to an area hospital.
Medics closed US-177 in the area of the crash while emergency teams worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
