Wrong-way collision in Broken Arrow kills 2 women

BROKEN ARROW, OK – A 22-year-old woman and a 49-year-old woman died Thursday night after their vehicles collided on the turnpike in Broken Arrow.

According to Fox 23 News, the incident happened just before 10:30 p.m. near the exit for 129th East Avenue on the eastbound side of the Creek Turnpike.

The investigation thus far indicates that a westbound vehicle entered the eastbound side of the turnpike and collided head on with an oncoming vehicle.

Both drivers became entrapped in their vehicles and died from injuries sustained in the accident.

Authorities identified the victims as Carigan Elisabeth Kelley Rains and Reyna Reyes Larios.

A full investigation is underway.
