Wrong-way crash on Hwy 9 near Spiro kills 1, hurts 1

LE FLORE CO., OK – A 20-year-old woman died on Saturday night after she was involved in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in north Le Flore County.
According to KNWA, the incident happened around 9:40 p.m. on the eastbound side of OK-9, east of Keota and near Spiro.
The investigation thus far indicates that an eastbound 2005 Chevrolet Silverado veered into the westbound lane and collided head on with a 2014 Nissan Versa.
The 17-year-old driver of the Chevy sustained leg injuries, and medics airlifted her to a hospital in Tulsa.
The force of the collision threw the 20-year-old driver of the Nissan from her vehicle, and she died at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as Hailey Johnson of Keota.
A full investigation is underway.
