1 entrapped, injured in crash involving semi along Turner Tpk

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A two-vehicle crash involving a semi injured one person Thursday morning along the interstate in northeast Oklahoma City, reports News 9.
The accident happened in the morning along the Turner Turnpike. Officials haven’t yet specified the cross street or mile marker at which the collision occurred.
Police say that the victim became entrapped when their vehicle struck the rear of an 18-wheeler that was stopped along the eastbound side of the turnpike. Photos taken at the scene show the vehicle wedged beneath the rear of the semi.
Emergency teams worked to extricate the victim, who then went to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
Drivers likely faced delays along the Turner Turnpike in the area of the crash while crews cleared the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
