1 injured in wrong-way crash on I-44 near NW 10th St

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person sustained injuries Friday in a head-on collision along the interstate in central Oklahoma City, reports KOCO News 5.

The incident occurred in the morning on I-44 near Northwest 10th Street, which is just north of Oklahoma State University and the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds.

Police say that a southbound vehicle entered the northbound side of I-44 and collided head-on with a northbound vehicle.

Medics transported the driver of the northbound vehicle to the hospital for treatment related to a medical episode. It’s unclear if the driver also sustained injuries as result of the collision.

The wrong-way driver did not sustain injuries in the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
