1 killed, 2 injured in head-on collision near Bennington

BRYAN CO., OK – A 24-year-old pregnant woman died Monday in a wrong-way collision along the highway in east-central Bryan County, reports KTEN 10.
The fatality crash happened just after 7 p.m. on US-70 at North 3980 Road, or North County Line Road. This is east of Bennington and not far from the Texas state line.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of an eastbound Ford sedan entered the westbound side of the highway and crashed head-on into a westbound SUV carrying two adults and a small child.
An unrestrained front passenger, identified as Olivia Rodriguez of Bonham, died at the scene of the accident. She was pregnant at the time of the wreck.
Medics airlifted the driver of the SUV and a 2-year-old child to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
The female driver of the sedan went to the hospital in stable condition.
There’s no word yet regarding charges.
